Ultra Trail ProBeta
Privacy Policy
v2 · 21 August 2026
Who we are
Ultra Trail Pro is an independent, non-commercial beta project by Proactor, operated by
Timo Laitila, Finland. For any privacy requests or inquiries, contact us at
info@proactor.dev.
What we collect
- Your email address (required — it saves your run and lets us send your result).
- An optional nickname (shown as your name in the game).
- Your in-game choices (level, pace, aid). These are not personal data.
We do not store your IP address (it is used only momentarily — to prevent spam and count
visits, as described under Usage & analytics), and we use no advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To create your virtual runner, save your run, and email you your result — the service you signed up for.
- If you opt in, to tell you about future events. You can withdraw this at any time.
Usage & analytics
To improve the service, we keep aggregate, anonymous usage statistics — no cookies, no
third-party trackers, and never linked to your account. We record which pages are opened, where visits came
from, device/browser type, and language. To count daily visitors without cookies, we derive a temporary,
irreversible code from your IP and browser; your raw IP is never stored, and it is not linked
across days.
Legal basis
Processing your data to run the game and send your results is necessary for the performance of a contract
(providing the service you requested). Emails about future events rely on your consent (the
optional opt-in), which you can withdraw at any time. Keeping aggregate, anonymous usage statistics relies on
our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service.
How long we keep it
We delete your data on request, and in any case automatically within 6 months after the event.
Raw analytics records are automatically deleted within 90 days; only daily totals
(counts, with no visitor codes) are kept beyond that.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or share your data. It is processed on our behalf by our email provider (Resend, US) to send
your result, and by our hosting provider (Hostens, EU) to run the service. As Resend is based in the US, your
email is transferred outside the EEA under appropriate safeguards — a data processing agreement incorporating
the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent — and you can
complain to your national data protection authority. To exercise any of these, email
info@proactor.dev.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the version and date above.
